BBQ Lunch

Our staff will order, pick up and prepare two sausage sandwiches per visitor, then add the cost on to your booking.

Food orders for overnight camps

You have the option of completing a click and collect order from Woolworths Delroy Park and our staff will collect your order on the morning of your arrival and pack it in our dining Hall.

External Catering

Please see below list of catering companies and the services they have advised they can offer for camps. Your school will need to make contact for further details and pricing. If you engage an external catering company that will attend site, it is your school’s responsibility to conduct the necessary working with children’s check and eCPC ‘Not to be Employed’ check. Please note this list in not extensive and you may wish to seek out your own catering services.

General Risk Assessment

Our general risk assessment applies to your schools excursion onsite at Wambangalang. Excursions away from our Wambangalang site such as kayaking and hiking will have additional risk assessments that will be supplied by the teaching staff along with the program prior to your excursion.

Accommodation

We offer dormitory style accommodation as well as tents. Wambangalang can currently cater for approximately 100 overnight students between the dorms and tents. The current Dorm Plan (PDF 0.1MB) shows the number of students we can accommodate on existing bedding.

Bushfire Letter (terms 1 & 4)

Wambangalang is a bushfire prone Category 1 rated school. If your school is visiting during terms 1 or 4 please read our bushfire letter for additional information and recommendations for your health safety.

Cost

Day Excursions
  • NSW DoE School - $15 per student
  • Non-Government and Independent schools - $700 per Wambangalang teacher.

*Please note that larger groups may require more than 1 Wambangalang teacher.

Overnight Excursions
  • NSW DoE School - $15 per student per day + $5 per student per night. example: a 2 day 1 night excursion is $35 per student.
  • Non-Government and Independent schools - $700 per Wambangalang teacher per day + $5 per student per night.

*Please note that larger groups may require more than 1 Wambangalang teacher.

Kayaking
  • NSW DoE Schools - $600 for up to 22 kayakers (this includes staff and students), plus $15 per additional student up to 40 students. Please note: more than 20 students may require additional equipment and kayak guides with additional costs.
  • Non-government and Independent Schools - $1400 for up to 22 kayakers (this includes staff and students). More than 20 students may require additional equipment and kayak guides with additional costs.
Night Activities

You can add in night activities during your overnight camp. One of our teachers will take your students and staff on some evening and after dark adventures. The night session runs for approximately 3 hours and can include the following:

  • Campfire – weather conditions permitting
  • Nature show
  • Spotlighting
  • Bushwalk
  • Bike riding
  • Aboriginal cultural show
  • Low ropes course

The cost of the night activities is an additional $300 per school.

BBQ Lunch
Approx. $5 per student for the provision of 2 quality butcher sausages and bread.
